Why do you care if the rest of your studio is idling away at 44.1 while you use Waveburner? Just switch the FW410 to 44.1, feed it's output to your amps, and you're done. The only issue would be switching the rate of your D-A converters so you can monitor WB on loudspeakers. It doesn't care what SR was used for the production, so the format of your samples, loops, etc. WB just takes finished mixes, applies some plugs if you like, and sequences them for a CD burn. I don't recall now.īut if your problem is isolated to Waveburner only, I'm not sure where you see the problem. It may have been Acid that I was playing with that allowed it. I still use Sequoia on my PC laptop and while it certainly allows me to load 44.1 files into a 48k project, they just play back at the wrong speed. Sure, I understand that the files I burn to CD will need to be converted to 44.1kHz for that purpose, but the point I was making is that there are other audio apps out there that can work with 44.1kHz files, even though the card sample rate is 48kHz. over 50 GB of files) is just not realistic.
